This program is designed for Spanish-speaking children, specifically pre-K II and K graduates of GSS, as well as those who have attended GSS programs and demonstrated the talent and interest to further their Spanish language learning. Eligible children should be entering Kindergarten or grades 1 to 5.

 

This program serves as a transitional continuation of previous developmental pre-K and K programs, focusing on the sequential, orderly, and age-appropriate development of children’s abilities and attitudes. Key areas of emphasis include:

 

    •    Reading and Writing: Developing Spanish reading and writing skills with proper grammar and vocabulary.

    •    Math and Science: Enhancing foundational skills in these subjects.

    •    Cultural Orientation: Engaging with Spanish and Latin American art, music, and customs.

    •    Socialization: Fostering group participation, self-esteem, and self-confidence.

 

This program aims to develop bi-literate children and requires steady attendance, consistency, and participation across all subjects for the full year, consisting of three sessions.
